GX Season 1 rewritten.

Intro; This post will be about everything before the Shadow Riders arc comes into prominence in the show/anime. It'll mostly be about making good introductions for certain characters. I also refuse to associate the "Kuriboh" archetype or card or monsters with Judai, so he wont have Kuriboh.

And i do not want his ace to be a 2500 atk monster, i consider his ace Flame Wingman, thats what its going to remain.

I also wont make Chazz (sticking to this name) use dragons or Ojamas. Instead of calling Misawa as "Daichi" im adressing him as "Bastion", after these 21 chapters are over i will focus on part 1 of my rewrite for Shadow Riders ARC (SDA) and then part 2 of the same arc or possibly a different storyline/plot prgession.

Note: if chapter 1 wasn't that good then try seeing chapter 2 and beyond, everything else is the appropriate length for a chapter.

time to change the series for the better and greater good

STORY BEGIN's

Chapter 1 -

As hundreds of teenagers are looking to be students at the duel academia most of them have to partake in entrance exams or duels with certain duelists, if they lose they can still be allowed entrance to become students only if they put up a good resistance before their loss. Among the competing students are "Bastion" "Syrus" "Jasmine" "Hayato" and "Asuka" three of them win their duels (Asuka, Bastion and Jasmine) but the other 2 lose.

In the spectator column sitting on comfortable chairs giving slick remarks is Chazz with three of his friends (2 males & a female). Neither of these four people have to be in a entrance exam as they went through what's called "headstart" or a prep school to prepare students for future tests. One student who's missing is named "judai Yuki" he arrives but fashionably late.

Wanting to exclude him a professor named "Crowler" (Cronos) tries ousting him but the other professor named "Banner" allows him an entry. The test is that "Masao" a Ra Yellow Student who is currently in his second year is asked to test the skills of Judai to see if Judai is worthy of entering this academy. The duel goes on offscreen, but the last few turn's get shown.

    Masao summoned "The Dark Ruler Hades" (level 6 atk 2450 def 1600) he then added a equip spell "Big Bang Shot" he struck at Judai's DEF mode "Clayman" dealing 850 point's of damage to him. In his next turn Judai activated "polymerzation" combining the necessary materials to fusion summon "E Hero Flame Wingman" but he was still shot on points compared to Dark Ruler.

    So Judai played it smart by using "Fissure" a spell card that sent dark ruler to the graveyard. He was still in peril though, as Masao activated the effect of "Chaos Ruler" in his hand (level 7 atk 2500 def 1500) which let Masao discard one card from his hand to special summon it onto his field as his opponent (Judai) special summoned a monster on the field.

    Then Judai equipped Flame Wingman with the last card left in his hand ("Favorite Hero") it turns Wingman's DEF points into 0 but adds them to his atk points, now Wingman has 3,300 atk points, he destroyed Masao's Chaos Ruler, dealing him 800 battle damage, then he gave him 2500 more points but of effect damage due to Wingman's ability. Now Masao loses the duel.

    Judai is allowed entry in duel academia as a 15 yr old boy, he will be in Ra Yellow serving for his first year. In the spectator column after being congratulated for his performance Bastion decides to be a good peer and give Masao advice as a duelist "you lost because you didnt take that boy seriously... you considered him a delinquent so he surprised you" "if you were alert you could have won Masao"

aftermath:

oter duelist's like Hayato become inspired and impressed, they hope to duel the same way Judai did. Due to winning their matches Jasmine & Asuka got entry into obelisk blue.

Chapter 2 - A month passes, Judai thinks to himself "i came here to make friends, not better myself at a game im already good at" "i wanted to socialize with people who have the same interest in card games that i do" "but all thats happening is me getting a detention everynow and then... having to wake up too early at times" "its not fair.. i dont wanna answer any questions on these tests, i dont care about how many cards have a instant win condition in Duel Monsters" "i just care about the rules and socializing here"

By now "Masao" that duelist who Judai beat for his entrance exam has dropped out of the academia, people claim he must have transferred to a different place or given up on his dreams. Asuka (an obelisk blue student) hear's a rumor from Jasmine that Masao left due to the constant harassment from his roomate's that he lost to Judai (cause Judai's a student who has poor grade's).

Judai makes a friend named "Ashido" but he doesnt realise that this guy's only pretending to be his friend as he wants to avenge how his real friend Masao was humiliated in a duel. Bastion warns Judai of Ashido's true intentions, that he used to be the fiend of Masao "you know the same Masao who no longer studies here cause he lost to you right?" Judai says "i never knew that was his name lol" the reaction of Bastion at the lunch table was one of displeasure.

Judai says "ok i will watch my back but i dont think its going to be a problem he can not do much" Day's later Ashido tells Judai in their room "i will help you in the test, and you will help me, so both of us dont flunk, i think in a week we can advance to the Obelisk Blue Dorm if we prove our worth" Judai boasts about himself "i haven't lost yet"

Ashido duels a duelist named "Hayato" whose from the Osiris (slifer Red) dormatory. This is a part of his test exam, though the ones who made this arrangement say "dear ashido you are a second year Yellow Ra duelist so perform well to make sure this Osiris get's motivated to become a better duelist"

Duel:

Turn 1 - Ashido summon's "abaki" in atk position, then end's his turn without a facedown card.

Turn 2 - Drawing Hayato summons "Des Kangaroo" and uses the quick-play spell card "block attack" switching the mode of abaki from atk to def (it originally had 1,700 atk points but in DEF position it has 1,000 only) Des Kangaroo destroys Abaki, though it was in defence mode both players took 500 effect damage as a result of Abaki's effect. Then placing two cards Hayato ended his turn (he has four left in his hand, each player has 3500 LP).

Turn 3 - Ashido activates "Lightning Vortex" from his hand but before it can take effect Hayato reveals a facedown card "Dust Tornado" destroying lightning vortex, his timing was perfect as this happened right after Ashido already took one card from his hand to put in the GY for activating that vortex card, this really ticked Ashido off, but he knew he could not let other people see him like this so he pretended to be indifferent.

Continuing his turn with just 4 card's left in his hand Ashido next summoned "Mystic Lamp" which had the ability of attacking Hayato directly, but first he equipped it with two cards "Rush Recklessly" and "Mage Power" increasing it's atk from 400 to 2,100 lacking any protective measure's against this Hayato loses over two thousand life points. Now placing one card (the last in his hand) Ashido ended the turn.

Turn 4 - Hayato attacks with "Gene Warped Warwolf" (a 2,000 atk point monster he just summoned), Ashido tried activating his trap card "negate attack" but it was cancelled by "cyclone" a spell card Hayato used, he then activated his last facedown card "kunai with chain" it increased the warwolf's atk by 500 and then after the destruction of his mystic lamp Ashido lost another 400 life point's. Hayato ends his turn by placing 1 card "Tribute Burial".

Currently;    3,100 LP (Ashido)   1,400 LP (Hayato)

Turn 5 - Ashido drawed a card, and ended his turn by passing as he drew a monster card that can't be summoned without a sacrifice.

Turn 6 - Hayato drew a card and activated his facedown "Tribute Burial" which removed a monster from his GY and one from Ashido's so now he can summon a monster card which requires two tributes "Big Koala" attacking directly with both monster card's (other is "Gene Warped Warwolf") he dealt 4,700 points of damage to the opponent. Ashido basically lost to Hayato.

Seeing his student lose made the Ra Yellow professor "Hikokubo" upset. He believes the reputation of his dorm is slowly by slowly getting tarnished. Judai was rooting for Ashido's victory so was a little dissapointed, but advocating for good sportsmanship he congratulated Hayato on his achievement. Also he said "i would love to duel against you some time as well"

Judai tried helping Ashido up but the man simply spat on his face & accepted his position as a slifer red from now on.

Aftermath;

Hayato is told by Banner "though you are certainly a valuable duelist and youve proven it today your place is still in the Osiris dorm, not here.. not among the RA'S because your grades are very bad you fail most of your exam's, test's and have poor habits, so you stay with my dorm"

Elsewhere a blue coated professor with blonde hair was with Ashido.

Cronos saw the deck of Ashido with the student's permission of course, he saw in the GY that Ashido discarded "Torrential Tribute" for the failed activation of "lightning vortex" if he had instead discarded one other card then he might not have lost, his defeat was circumstancial only.

Chapter 3 - Judai get's bored quickly without having access to a friend/roomate, and his grades in the dorm tests keep falling, he meets Bastion Misawa a third time, they realise their differences are not just in grades but also personalities though both have 2 common interests, sports and dueling. And Judai also meets Asuka Tenjoin for the first time ever.

Judai's side of the story is told to Cronos;

At a recreational hour when a fraction of the student's and duelist's were out of their dorms Mindy (a friend of Asuka) refused to give Judai a cupcake, so he challenged her to a duel for it. Judai's did this because he was hungry & couldn't afford to pay for any type of food as he wasted all his money (the allowance budget that his parents gave him for his first week's at the academia).

Judai decides he'll earn his keep, maintain his position and keep from being hungry by simply dueling people for things like food, pencils, books, electronics etc pretty much anything he needs to survive at this academia, all that equipment will be what he gets when he win's a match.

But not wanting to touch a Ra Yellow as her opponent Mindy asked "Asuka why dont you handle this boy instead?" Asuka agreed and took Judai on.

Their duel;

Turn 1 - Asuka draws, she activate's "Gold Sarcophagus" which allows her to banish one card from her deck she can later add it to her hand in two more turns. After that she summoned "Cold Enchanter" in atk mode, ending her turn with one facedown.

Turn 2 - Judai summon's "E HERO Blazeman" then activates its effect of sending "E Hero Edgeman" to the Gy to make his own atk equal to Edgeman's (Bladedge's), now with 2,600 atk he attacks Asuka's "Cold Enchanter" Asuka activates "Amulet of Affection" preventing any battle damage from occuring. Blazeman's atk goes back to normal, Judai places a card, ending his turn.

Turn 3 - Asuka draw's again (four in her hand) then summon's "Ice Doll" in Def position, she declared turn end by setting two card's ("Twin Pillar's of Ice" & "Doble Passe").

Turn 4 - Judai drawed a card he summoned "E Hero Woodsman" and used "Nobleman Of Extermination" to remove one of Asuka's facedown cards from this game, after that he used "Elemental Hero Blazeman" to destroy Ice Doll, then attacked Asuka directly with Woodsman, dealing her 1000 damage.

Turn 5 - Asuka draw's then she activates the spell card she gained from Sarcophagus, it's called Riryoku, now half of Judai's LP are subtracted from him but added to a monster she control's called "Frost Tiger" (now at 3,900 ATK) she also then uses her facedown card "Doble Passe" which allows her and him to attack eachother directly, but since its her turn only she can do the direct attack right now. Judai negates her direct attack with "Hero Barrier", she ends her turn setting one more card.

Turn 6 - Judai activated the special effect of "Woodsman" letting him add a "Polymerzation" from his deck to his hand, then he uses "Polymerzation" to combine the "Burst Lady" & "Aveon" in his hand to form "Flame Wingman" and lastly he regular summoned "Elemental Hero Stratos" which destroy's the trap card Asuka activated "Ice barrier" next Judai made use of Asuka's trap card "Doble Passe" to attack her directly with both monster's. Though she was at 3,000 LP now Asuka's lost 3900 LP and the duel, while Judai still had 2 thousand lifepoints remaining.

Aftermath - Asuka's friends "Jasmine" & "Mindy" cannot believe she was done in by her own trap card's effect.

Asuka says "Ice Barrier wouldve reduced Wingmans ATK to zero canceling its effect's but it was destroyed."

The friend's of Asuka decided to take video tapes of her duel but edit out her photo, this was to provide evidence for a case to be formed against Judai and a complain.

Jasmine showed the video footage and made a complaint, the matter was discussed with Professor Hikokubo who later informed Judai (at the next episode/chapter).

Decision of Cronos (dr crowler) - i want this lost video footage to be removed from every camera, no one can know of this anymore, i dont want the image of my dorm to be tarnished, for any obelisk student losing to a Osiris duelist is disgraceful... but Asuka is my next best student after Chazz... so i will not let her go like this.

Chapter 4 - Judai defeats a man who uses "Cyber Dinosaur" but was cheating in his duels as he wanted to get rare cards from his opponents and become a professor in the academia. The name of this man is Mr Ryuga. He was brought in by professor Cronos (the obelisk blue blonde haired teacher who claims to be the 2nd best duelist in the entire Academia after Kaiser but excluding Anami Minowa).

Ryuga has so far beaten 45 duelists, his 46th victim was Syrus, he then defeats a 47th opponent, but Judai ends up being the 48th and this is where his win streak stops. In the end he was also exposed as a cheater, because he used machinery (a ring gadget device) to deactivate a spell/trap/monster zone in his opponents duel discs.

Since this was explained in the Manga; i've decided not to elaborate on this episode/chapter the only difference will be that its Judai using a yellow uniform not a red one.

But the aftermath is this Judai being demoted.

Judai's told by professor Hikokubo:

"The reason youre being demoted is not just your below average grade's... my boy you made a grave mistake, a horrible error that will cost you your reputation and any respect people will have for you at the academia! their is proof provided by 2 obelisk blue first year student's... they showed photos of you dueling at 11 o clock PM, thats not acceptable at all! you left your dorm past curfew.." Judai paused to think over this and asks "those two students were female right?" Hikokubo says nothing and points his finger, taking the hint Judai knows the direction he has to do to get out.

Chapter 5 - Now in the slifer red dorm, Judai has been here for a week already, a incident of him bunking or skipping a class with Syrus to play frisby by throwing only syrus's duel disk is shown. Then during after class hour's he sees a few obelisk blue and ra yellow student's intermingling with eachother.

Judai tries to find some familiar faces in the crowd in hopes of interacting with a Ra Yellow friend but to no avail. He sees something else happen though. A slifer Red student named "Hayato" is being picked on and harassed by Chazz. While Syrus and Judai come to stop it they see Hayato dueling with Chazz.

Hayato summons "Worm Drake" (atk 1400 def 1500 level 3 normal monster dark attribute) and sets a trap "Eradicator Epidemic Virus" (activate by either tributing a dark monster or after a dark monster you control is destroyed by battle, declare 1 type of card (either Trap or Spell) then look at your opponent's hand and the top 8 cards of their deck, they can no longer use that type of card, if they have it in the top 8 cards or hand then each card of that type must be discarded to the GY).

Chazz activates the Ritual Spell "End of the World" he discards three monster cards from his hand to special summon a Ritual monster from his deck named "Demise King Of Armageddon" (atk 2400 def 2000) he then uses the special effect of this king to destroy all cards on the field. Hayato asks him loudly "but dont you have to give up at least 2000 life points?" Chazz says "not with spell of pain" this magic card makes you give up those life points instead!"

Hayato is down to 2000 LP now. Chazz declares an attack with Demise King of Armageddon. Hayato loses the duel after this direct attack. Chazz's friends make fun of Hayato cause he could not last 2 turns in a duel with an obelisk blue student. Chazz himself grabs the deck Hayato uses in his duel disk, looking through the entire deck he tore most of these cards but kept two for himself.

Chazz tells Judai before their duel "to earn the right of challenging the duel king you must face his knight and rook first" (referring to one friend as a Rook in Chess and other as a "Knight" or horse). Judai asks him "then why did Hayato get to duel you?" Chazz tells him "because i challenged him not the other way around"

A guy appears "the names Raizou! ill put you in your place" lets duel!

Chapter 6 -

Judai faces Chazz's friend in a duel.

Turn I (judai's) draws a card, activates polymerzation, to fuse bursty lady with aveon and creating Flame Wingman. Then ends his turn.

Turn II - "Raizou" (the friend) summoned Battle Ox he then uses "Mask Of Brutality" (spell card) to increase "Battle Ox" to 2700 atk, he destroys Flame Wingman. Judai's down to 3400 LP. Raizou sets a card saying "this is how real duelists duel! theyre always prepared for anything unlike you!"

Turn III - Judai draws & sets a card, then activates the "Giant Trunade" which sends all spell and traps of both players back to their hands, that includes Raizou's equip card 'Mask Of Brutality' the card he set was 'Shadow Spell' not Judai summons the monster "Elemental Hero Heat" (atk 1600 def 1200 FIRE attribute) its effect allows it to gain 200 atk for each hero monster out on the field including itself. Raizou takes direct damage, losing 1800 LP. He ends his turn by setting one card.

Turn IV - Raizou activates 'cost down' making him discard one card to lower the tribute requirement for one monster in his hand. This lets him summon 'Divine Knight Ishzark' (Light Attribute) Level 6 Warrior/Effect (Atk 2300) (Def 1800) (when this card destroys an atk mode monster by battle inflict double the difference as damage) without any necessary sacrifices.

Raizou then activated the effect of 'Gilfers demon' (the monster card he discarded to the GY) which lowers Judai's monsters atk power by 500 points, but Judai used the trap card 'forced release' which makes Raizou tribute one of his own monsters on the field to summon another monster from the GY, now E Hero Heat doesn't lose ATK and Raizou's preferred monster is changed. But Raizou turns it around by using 'mask of brutality' giving Gilfer's demon 1000 extra atk, now judai loses his monster card (Heat) in a battle and 1100 lifepoints. Raizou ends his turn as he just has battle ox, shadow spell and pot of avarice in his hand.

Turn V - With the score being close (Judai's 2300 LP) & (Raizou's 2200 LP) Judai draws a card increasing his hand total too 2 cards he uses monster reborn to bring back 'Divine Knight Ishzark' from Raizou's graveyard and then Judai activates "Double Hero Attack" letting him special summon 1 hero card as long as its a monster from his GY "Flame Wingman" though hes depleted his hand completely Judai atleast has a wall of monsters to defend him. He puts gilfer demon with Ishzark in defence position ending his turn.

Turn VI - Raizou draws (increasing his hand to four) and first resummons Battle Ox, then uses the spell he just drew 'stop defense' which swapped both monsters judai had into atk mode, then he switches the effect of mask of brutality to battle ox instead raising its atk. Though at normal strength Gilfers demon destroys Flame Wingman dealing Judai 100 damage. Battle Ox defeats Ishzark giving Judai 400 more points of damage his LP is at 1800 now.

Turn VII (seven) - Judai draws and activates 'mirage of nightmare' (the only card in his hand) letting him draw till he gets to four. He then summons the monster card 'Big Shield Gardna' but in atk instead of defence. He then surprises the opponent further by using 'weapon change' exchanging 700 LP for changing the def & atk of a monster he controlled. With 2600 atk judai has the edge but he then used 'megamorph' yet another spell card this time doubling gardna's atk. He strikes down battle ox as its the bigger threat currently, this leads to Raizou losing 2500 lifepoints, ending the duel.

Aftermath; chazz wasn't their to witness it he left by the time the fifth turn began, but his two other friends "Daisy" & "Tayeou" saw everything play out... They said Chazz wouldn't believe what just happened.

Syrus is the first to congratulate Judai for this victory. He asks for Judai to be the representative of their dorm (they both belong to slifer Red) for this trimester. Judai turns it down "thats too much work man.. i came here at the academia... for fun... recreation... not to live the life of an athlete that has the expectations of hundreds of people weighing me down"...

Though dissapointed Syrus still wanted to be friend's with Judai.

Chapter 7 - 

Hayato asks Judai 'thanks for your help man... though i still lost my rare cards... anyways how did you get the big shield gardna? only 15 in the entire world were ever printed... not many possess them at all' Judai tells the story of when he was in elementary school he won a small tournament in a town where the prize was this card.

When Syrus is defeated by a random student a specator (who happens to be Asuka) offers him a helping hand after he fell down. Telling him "i dont want to see kaisers brother lose to another slifered student.. come on now! let me help you become a better duelist" Scared Syrus think's Asuka will challenge him not wanting to lose to a girl Syrus start's running away.

Asuka is somewhat ticked off as Syrus did not want to recieve help from her. This lead's to her doubting her own beauty as well, but she decides to label Syrus a wierdo in her mind and her friends (Jasmine & Mindy) just lose all interest in Syrus. Because he is the kaiser's brother Asuka choose not to bully or harass him.

Judai and Syrus played their second round of Frisby this time using Judai's duel disc instead of Syrus's.

Later in the Osiris Red Dorm;

Hayato tell's Judai "the reason i cant file a complaint is because i agreed to the ante rule, and also if the discplinary squad found out i would be in trouble" Judai replies "then how do you intend on staying at this academy without a deck?" Hayato say's "i'll just buy more, but cheap ones"

Judai ask's Professor Banner "besides you sensei whose the toughest duelist and student in this dorm?" He replies to Judai "the toughest student is a guy named Gauche, he runs a dragon deck, though perfectly capable of advancing outside of the red dorm Gauche just refuse's he told me the reason is because he wants to remain in this dorm where he will be top dog, he thinks if he goes to the yellow or blue dorm's then he will no longer be number 1"

Syrus asks "isn't Gauche the same student who has a record of 110 absences?" Banner says "yes and its strongly believed that shadow games are involved in keeping him here, otherwise if it were not for shadow magic that Gauche would never still be enrolled here, he wouldve been kicked out"

Banner also tells them "judai you and your friends must no longer go out of the dorm on campus at night time now, because your curfew has arrived."

The day ends with another Osiris Red Student telling Judai about Syrus and how his brother Kaiser is the only Obelisk Blue Student who deserves any respect from their dorm as he is a respectable individual and the big man on Campus. Judai asks Syrus "why dont you ever talk about your brother to me?"

Chapter 8 - Asuka faces a duelist she bested him in a duel, this whole match was a result of a law in the Obelisk Dorm that each student must win at least one duel per 2 week's, if they fail to do so then they must be kicked out of the dorm and will not be considered worthy of the Obelisk Rank. So that duelist faced Asuka.

Name of this duelist "Hitoshi" he tells Asuka that this card game isnt for women, she should stick to cooking, cleaning and being dependent on a real man.

The Duel in itself;

Asuka will win with her lockdown strategy.

Turn 1 - Asuka summons "Frost Tiger" in attack mode and places one card facedown ending her turn (the card she set is a trap "ice barrier").

Turn 2 - Hitoshi draws, then activates "roll of fate" letting him roll one die the number is 3, so he can draw the three top card's of his deck then discard the 3 next cards on his deck's top. Now that he has eight in his hand, Hitoshi used "monster reborn" to summon Legendary Fiend a monster card that was discarded from the top of his deck. Next he equips it with "Black Pendant" raising its ATK to 2 thousand, and he then activates two "fiend sanctuary" spell's which special summon two token's, he tributed them in order to normal summon King of Yamimakaiy (atk 2,600 def 2,300). He chose not to atk instead opting to end his turn with two facedown's (leaving one card in his hand).

Turn 3 - Asuka drew a card. She tell's him "with only one card in your hand you wont win this match" she activates, but he uses the facedown "drop off" a trap that forces the opposing player to discard what they drew and end their turn. Asuka reluctantly ended her turn.

Turn 4 - Hitoshi's monster "Legendary Fiend" gains 700 atk (now at 2,700) then he activates "turn jump" giving 2100 more ATK point's to his monster (4,800) he attacks Frost Tiger with it, but Asuka activated her facedown card "ice barrier" reducing legendary fiend atk to 0 and now that its destroyed by Frost Tiger the owner Hitoshi lost LP (he's already down to 2,100 lifepoint's), he ended his turn by attacking Frost Tiger with his other monster (King of Yamimakay) dealing 700 damage to Asuka (whose down to 3,300 lifepoints) then placing one card Hitoshi ended his turn.

Turn 5 - Asuka summons "Denko Sekka" which prevents Hitoshi from using facedown spells and trap card's now all his facedown cards will not be able to get activated. It is in defence position so she end's her turn.

Turn 6 - Hitoshi merely draws a card then summon's "Vorse Raider" he destroyed denko sekka with it, and attacked Asuka directly using king of yamimakai, causing her to lose 2600 LP. Now that his opponent has only seven hundred lifepoint's left Hitoshi is not even cautious enough to place a facedown card, he believes his victory is assured.

Turn 7 - Asuka tells him "ive just been taking it easy so far" "as the snail i will defeat the rabbit in the end" "you lost your chance at victory by refusing to set a single card" Asuka draws a card, now holding five in her hand she activated "angels charity" letting her draw thrice then discard 2 more card's, then she summoned "Ice Master" using "monster reborn" she then activates a spell card "Ice Placement" putting one ice counter on every card Hitoshi control's, then using the effect of Ice Master all those cards that have a ice counter are sent to the GY. After that she attacked Hitoshi directly with "Ice Master" who dealt 2,500 point's of direct damage to his LP, now he loses the duel.

In his hand Hitoshi saw cards he wanted to speed up the turns that have happened with "Pyro Clock Of Destiny" to power up "Legendary Fiend" which was already gone, the clock was a card originally facedown but sent back to the hand by Asuka's monster Denko Sekka.

End of chapter;

After it's over she is congratulated by her fellow classmates as a rising star of the academia. Chazz saw her duel and started getting physically attracted to her, while Daisy watching this made hmph! noise & wanted to prevent Chazz from getting intimate with Asuka, she became jealous of Asuka.

While Tayeou told Chazz about Hitoshi's skill and rooted for him (unlike Chazz who rooted for asuka the entire time due to his crush for her) claiming "hitoshi's a tough duelist, hes considered the best among second year students of the obelisk dorm, we should support him, in a year he will graduate and become a pro duelist"

In the aftermath a couple hours later when Daisy asks him "why are you so attracted and obsessed with that Asuka b!tch?" Chazz replied "because after me she is the best duelist in this dorm, at least among the first year obelisks.." and "no offense to you daisy but lets be honest.. you have not done anything in your life that is impressive or worthy of praise, who did you defeat besides smallfry's and average opponents?"

Smiling then Chazz just walked away from the area while Daisy was left to ponder over his words Chazz went to his bedroom and enjoyed a good nights rest/sleep.

Doctor Crowler (cronos) think's about how a 2nd year obelisk was defeated by a first year obelisk student who was a female, he is happy that the first year students are tougher than the last batch but dissapointed in how the incompetence of many great player their dorm had to offer is getting exposed slowly by slowly.

Chapter 9; Judai finally faced Chazz in a duel.

What led upto it is that Cronos wanted to test the powers of the rest of the Obelisk Blue Gang, when he heard of Chazz's friend Raizou being defeated by Judai he asked Chazz if he's up to the task of silencing this Osiris Red Amatuer?

Judai says "we all bleed red its the perfect color Chazzie" Chazz says "men let their action's speak, loser's like you always let their words speak, now let's duel!" I go first!

Turn 1 - Chazz says "i activate the field magic restrictions" "restrictions is a card that limits the amount of spell cards that can be used to one per turn" "if this card is removed in any way from my field i gain 100 points for each card in both players hands combined" then he sets a card & summons 'Neo the Magic Swordsman'

Turn 2 - Judai summons 'E Hero Ocean' then uses the spell 'Hero field' (by discarding one monster from his hand the owner can destroy any monster on the opponent's field) destroying Chazz's monster card, then he makes use of Ocean's effect to special summon a monster in his own GY that has "HERO" in its name, it is 'Elemental Hero Blazeman' who now gains 400 atk (200 per Hero monster card on field), he tries attacking Chazz directly but Chazz activated his trap card 'Fearful Earthbound' it cancels one attack & deals 500 damage to the opposing player, but chazz is still vulnerable to Ocean's atk, he loses 1500 lifepoints. Judai's turn ended though.

Turn 3 - Chazz draws (now four cards in his hand), he activates the spell card 'Dark Hole' sending all faceup monsters to the graveyard. Then he summons 'Mice of darkness' (level 3, atk 1400 def 1400) which attack's Judai directly, giving him 1400 damage, also its effect causes judai to lose a third of his remaining lifepoints as long as its number divisable by 3. Now Judai has just 1400 LP remaining. Chazz sets one card & declares 'turn end'.

Turn 4 - Judai draws (increasing his hand total to four card's) Chazz activates the set card 'Emergency Provisions' he destroys one spell on his field and gains a thousand lifepoints, but the effect of 'restrictions' increases his lp by 500 more now he has 4,000 LP again. His fanclub cheers for him "a perfectionist you are to the very end!" clapping. Judai uses polymerzation to fuse two monsters in his hand to form 'Elemental Hero Flame Wingman' but Chazz interrupts him stating "you know thats a bad move right? you tributed three cards in your hand to summon one monster... its stupid" yet Judai attacks and Chazz loses 2100 LP along with his monster card. Judai places one card face down.

Turn 5 - Chazz draws (getting 2 now) he activates 'End Of World' which lets him send monsters in his deck (not hand or field) to the graveyard so he can ritual summon 'Demise King of Armageddon' from the deck itself. Chazz wants to use its effect but cant as he would have to pay 2000 lifepoints when he has too little. Chazz uses 'Kaleidoscope' a spell card which triples one monster. Now he has three Demise Kings. Judai tells him "you claimed decreasing your hand is a bad move, i return those words to you in earnest" He attacks Judais flame wingman with one, but judai uses 'hero spirit' a trap card which allows him to tribute 400 of his LP to negate all damage and render one monster card indestructible for a single turn.

Turn 6 - Judai draws (with one card in his hand now) he summons it in facedown defence position little does Chazz know it's 'big shield gardna' though he knows its obviously a trap or a possible bluff to throw him off Chazz remains ignorant of the fact that its one of Judai's most prized possessions as it feels like a spirit card.

Turn 7 - Chazz draws, his hand has nothing left so he places this card and ends his turn.

Turn 8 - as Judai draws a new card Chazz automatically activates the card he set down. Resorting to ring of destruction making both players lose life points, thus on Judais turn he activated that trap to destroy Judai's flame wingman and forced a draw, a stalemate to avoid being defeated.

Aftermath; Chazz claims victory as he had more lifepoints before the trap card was activated, 1900 LP (Chazz) to 1400 LP (Judai). But Judai show's him the card he was holding would have increased the atk point's of Flame Wingman, its called "Skyscraper"

The crowd's reaction;

Asuka tells chazz "you think this is a win well the truth is that i and everyone else here knows about your weaknesses you try to hide how weak you are... you knew you didnt have the ability to win so you choose the easy way out" 'youre a loser' pointing her finger at him.

Chazz says "if you really think so then bust out your cards! ill easily crush you!" thats when another guy intervened named Tooru he tells chazz "learn to talk to the lady with respect!" But in between Chazz's friend Daisy came and said

"well chazz has more a point then this b!tch! Asuka lost to Judai while Chazz battles him to a draw!" "so lay off!" Tooru looks for a second at Daisy then turns to Chazz saying "a real man fights his own battles, he doesnt hide behind women, you are a disgrace"

Cronos realise's his mistake was to give Judai this much attention... because of him Asuka got charmed and attracted to slifer red's while now infighting and civil war and differences are being created among Obelisk Blue Students. Leaving he makes a announcement that all non Obelisk Blue Students must leave this duel ring within a minute.

Chapter 10;

As Judai and Syrus along with Hayato enjoy their lunch break and drink McFlurry's as a treat that Professor Banner gave them, labelling these three as his favorite Osiris duelist's he tell's them the unfortunate truth that Osiris Red Students will have to stay at the academia when the upcoming Winter Break happen's cause of their lower grade's.

Meanwhile at the Ra Yellow Dorm Bastion Misawa's peer's (other students) wonder how they can proceed to the Obelisk Dorm, so when they graduate it'll look like they improved, but Bastion is thinking over on what strategy he should use to defeat Judai if they ever come across eachother in a duel.

But at that Obelisk Blue Dorm Asuka is walking out of the cafeteria she goes to the bathroom then comes back when Tooru (the 2nd year Obelisk Blue Student who disagreed with Chazz) asked her to come along with him, so she can be a witness to his victory over Chazz. Asuka ask's him "why are you dueling Chazz for me? who am i to you?"

He tells her "at the abandoned dorm last Spring.. your brother saved me from becoming a missing student like him" "i owe him many other favor's too, he helped me be a better duelist even though i was a year younger than him Atticus coached me" "so i can't see his sister get disrespected in my sight.. i won't allow it!"

As Chazz is sitting down on a bench with his friends "Tayeou & Daisy" he recall's himself walking down the hall prior to this incident, thinking about how by tooling Tooru in a duel he will be another step closer to his goal of being Duel King, he must begin the task to eliminate all competitor's, potential threats and rivals in the academia.

Chazz versus Tooru:

Turn 1 - Chazz began, he summon's "Wall of Illusion" in DEF position, ending his turn by placing three cards.

Turn 2 - Tooru start's his turn he activated "Giant Trunade"and summoned "Speed Jagaur" (atk - 1,000 def - 900) then made use of "Double Summon" by tributing the Jagaur to summon "Black Lion".

Since their combined level's were eleven the damage dealt to Chazz is 1100. After that by using "Monster Reborn" he ressurected Speed Jaguar and attacked Chazz directly, dealing 2 thousand more points as damage done by the Jaguar is doubled, due to it's effect. Now Chazz is already down to his last 900 LP.

Turn 3 - Chazz draw's a card he tells Tooru "you missed the special effect of my Wall, when hes attacked im able to send 2 cards on your field back to your deck, so good riddance to both of your monsters, they are on the top of your deck, and i know you only have one card left in your hand" while Chazz has 6 cards. He used Monster Reborn to bring "Speed Jaguar" (atk 1000) back but on his field inistead of Toorus.

Because this was a special summon Chazz is able to still normal summon "Neo The Magic Swordsman" then he attacks with both monster's Tooru loses 3700 LP from this direct attack, down to his last 300 lifepoints. Chazz was smart and cautious so he placed two cards, ending his turn.

Turn 4 - Tooru drawed, seeing "Black Lion" in his hand, but he simply placed this face down card then ended his turn while smirking, trying to bait Chazz into buying the bluff and fake confidence.

Turn 5 - Chazz drawed then used "Dust Tornado" a facedown trap card to destroy one trap/spell card on the field, he thinks its best to play it safe and be smart. Since his enemy's last line of defence is done Chazz attacks directly again.

Aftermath;

Since Tooru's a year and half older than Chazz it was embarassing for him to lose to a duelist younger than he is.

While spectator's praise Chazz and think hes some sort of genius for playing this duel out so well, he was never fazed even once, they think he's either the next Kaiser or the guy who'll surpass Kaiser.

On the other end Asuka becomes somewhat dissapointed and her dislike/disdain for Chazz takes root here. She vows to one day avenge "Tooru" & defeat Chazz.

Chazz says "the loser must always give the winner something, i am respectfully asking you to give me your Black Lion monster card, i promise not to use it in duel's infront of you, the only time ill ever use it is behind your back.."

Tooru tell's him "i never agreed to this, im walking away dork" then a man named Hiroaki (another 2nd year Obelisk Blue Student) took the card from Tooru and placed it in Chazz's palm he say's "learn to lose with dignity Tooru, im ashamed of being your friend, i should pursue friendship with mr princeton instead, the future king of duelist's"

Chazz shakes this off and tells him "i can see how youre kissing up to me.. but if you want my friendship you'll have to earn it, i wont thank you for this card, as i couldve taken it either way, but i will give you an opportunity to get in my good book's"

Demise king Of Armageddon (a duel monster spirit of Chazz) tells him "this card you picked up is a spirit of the duel monsters world, you should not try to rip it otherwise it could be painful to you Chazz, you may get cursed... even i wont be able to protect you.."

CHAPTER 11:

Judai suffers his first loss.

Chapter start's.

At the Osiris Red Dorm after class is done Judai goes to a small party in the obelisk blue dorm's 1st year student section. He was invited by Asuka, who wanted to know more about him, Judai caught her eye mostly based on his interaction's with Chazz. Judai their met Jasmine instead, while hayato who was not invited was told to leave by Asuka.

Judai told Asuka about himself she told him nothing about herself but then Jasmine asks for permission to have a private conversation with Judai, eventually she ended up telling him about Kaiser "hes the big man on campus... hes returning today after being involved at a field trip in america, the home of duel monster's"

Judai can not wait to meet this kaiser guy. Hour's later when Judais at the Ra Yellow Dorm playing pool with Bastion Misawa's room mate who tells him "bastion is working on his studies for the next test, he wants to get ahead of his schedule so youll be stuck playing with me now" Judai's friend Hayato came to get him saying "Cronos said that he want's you to come in the bush's in between the Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue Dorms"

Once getting their he meets Kaiser and Judai says "the big man on our campus doesnt seem to live up to the Hype" Cronos say's "Judai you will duel him... if you can beat our Kaiser then you will get to do whatever you want even fail test's no one will insult or punish you for it" Leaving the close vicinity he was in Crowler entered the bushes to see their duel.

Judai loses to Kaiser:

Turn 1 - Judai drawed a card, he summoned "Elemental Hero Ocean" in attack mode, then activated "Polymerzation" to merge two monster cards in his hand to form "Elemental Hero Mudball Man" but he placed him in defence mode/position and set a card, ending his turn.

Turn 2 - Kaiser draw's a card (6 total in hand) then special summon's "Cyber Dragon" and discard's "Cyber Struve" from his hand to activate it's effect, letting him Fusion Summon any Fusion Monster ignoring it's conditions, he chooses "Cyber Twin Dragon" then activates "Gift of The Martyr" to tribute the Cyber Dragon on his field, increasing his twin dragon's ATK to now 4,900 points.

Kaiser normal summon's "Cyber Dragon Drei" which'll prevent "Twin Dragon's" destruction. Next he destroyed Elemental Hero Ocean using Cyber Dragon Drei then he attacked Judai's "Mudball Man" but Judai revealed his facedown card "Hero Barrier" (to use this effect you must have a face up E Hero on your field, negate a attack from the opponent's monster).

But "Hero Barrier" was cancelled by Kaiser's "Cyclone" (quick-play spell card). Judai get's upset about his card not working the "E Hero Mudball Man" dies, and Judai get's attacked directly as the Cyber Twin Dragon has a effect which lets it attack twice.

Aftermath;

Judai praises Kaiser and hopes for a rematch. Syrus become's inspired seeing how Judai's will, enthusiasm, competitiveness, joy & exctiement was not degraded by even this.

Asuka running over to Kaiser asked him "what the last card in his hand is?" Kaiser say's "i didnt need to use it just like i dont need to answer your question" Asuka then asks "do you think highly of Judai" Kaiser merely walks away.

Going back to the academia Hayato is shaken knowing that even Judai could lose and not just lose but lose in a single turn, he only had 1 turn and Kaiser only had one turn he says "i dont care if it was the Emperor! a unnatural duelist like Judai should last long"

Judai say's "it's all good now i know that nor everything is gonna be easy at least not for me i finally have a goal a rival who i can look up to as a person i need to defeat to see if i really improved as a duelist im glad theirs a challenge for me"

A day later;

People said "from now on it would be a challenge to find someone who can last more than a turn against the mighty emperor of our academy!" Chazz heard all this, he wonders if Judai's an eqaul then both of them are so far below the Kaiser.

Cronos and Kaiser;

You said Judai is no ordinary duelist.. you informed me of his achievement's against Mr Ryuga, Second yr Masao, Rising Junior Asuka, and even though he confronted the fourth best among 1st year obelisk's he won with 1100 LP remaining... But as i can see all of this was meaningless... he couldn't last 2 turns against me! And this is the guy you think could have been my rival in the future Sensei?..

Cronos almost ashamed of himself tells Kaiser "believe me... if you were in my position you would think that the time for Osiris Student's to rise has started, seeing a gifted duelist like Hayato was enough but when judai came his achievement's turned out to be more impressive than all Obelisk studnets in the first and second year.... if you were not among the third year students... if you were not a student at this academia..... then it's entirely possible that nobody on this island no one in the academia could be above him."

"He sets a very bad example to other duelist's and student's but you are the only one who has put him in his place.. Unfortunately this isn't enough. He may come back, hes still enrolled here as a student. even though he lost, his presence alone is a problem."

Chapter 12 - At the Osiris Red Dorm all student's fall asleep with the exception of Syrus who walk's outside of his dorm at night time, wondering whats up why this is happening. Why their dorm is such a big target by Dr Crowler. He sees Asuka place flowers near the abandoned dorm and hear's her talking to herself until he understood she's talking to a loved one thats gone, can not respond to her etc.

She says "brother... ive tried to acknowledge Kaiser as my big brother... but hes just not like you... he doesnt have the same aura that makes everyone happy.." she paused for almost a minute and said... "its almost as if hes my dream man... i can never look at him as anything but a spouse... i will never be able to see him the way i saw you.."

Syrus just ran away in fear that he would get spotted by her. He then walks back to his dorm and grow's jealous of Kaiser, he yells "why does he get everything! i liked her she should be mine!"

The following/next day;

Hayato ask's "how can you wake up like this? after just losing last night? 830 PM the time Judai lost to Kaiser.. after a lack of success how do you face the new day with optimism?" Judai say's "for me everyday is a success"

As they all get ready to go back to school they take a few class's but find out from a unlikely source (bastion misawa) that while they were away Chazz's new buddy "Hiroaki" had sprayed grafeetee all over the room where Judai is, the word LOSER was their 3 times inside, three more time's outside, when Judai and his friend's return to their dorm after class is done they saw LOSER in the color Grey. Hayato get's really pissed off but Bastion says you should complain to Professor Banner, he likely already know's about it.

What happened later;

Due to witness testimony Hiroaki was banned from partaking in any classes and a 6 o clock curfew was going to be given to him, this would have happened but one man stopped it all, that man happened to be Syrus who claimed "i was out their too... i didnt see Hiroaki at all, instead it was my brother Kaiser, i think Bastion and Judai are lying cause they hate Obelisk Blue students.."

Kaiser remained unpunished as hes the star student of the academia & their was no real evidence against him. But Hiroaki was not so lucky, a restraining order got filed against him that he can not be close to any Osiris Red Student, he must be at least 10 meter's away every time he sees one.

Later Kaiser introduces Asuka to his friend the discplinary squad chief "Anami Minowa" who shakes her hand firmly, he prevented the handshaking from going further to ensure both ladies don't harm eachother. Asuka asked Kaiser "is their any female duelist who can exceed my skill's here?" Kaiser tells her "Anami is the best female duelist in the world..."

Kaiser tell's a story;

Once upon a time their was a card theif in duel academia, it was my second year here, the theif ended up being a former student, who came to this academy and always robbed the truck's that would be loaded with pack of rare cards. That theif wanted to become the greatest duelist so he always targetted those trucks but one day he was stopped.

Turn 1 - Anami drawed one card. She summoned "Mine Golem" in def position and set two card's, ending her turn right their. The cards placed facedown are "Life Equalizer" & "The Selection"

Turn 2 - ?? draws then sets a card and activates "Angel's Charity" drawing thrice, then he reveals his facedown card "Emergency Provisions" which lets him destroy a card of his own to gain one thousand LP, so now that Angels Charity is gone not only does he not need to discard two card's he also has 5 thousand life point's. Next he activates "Bronze Knight" which lets him discard any number of card's in his hand to summon a bronze knight token (atk - 500 def - 500) he chooses to discard 3 of them (4 left in his hand) for summoning three bronze knights all in DEF position. Next he tributes those token's to normal summon "The Supremacy Sun" (atk - 3000 def - 3,000). But Anami negated this summoning by activating her trap "The Selection" he ended his turn by placing one card.

Turn 3 - Anami draws a card. The thief (??) activates his facedown card "Exchange Of The Spirit" swapping both player's decks with whatever is left in their GY. Since Anami still has card's in her hand she summon's "Dark Elf" then she activated the spell card "Megamorph" making the ATK of her Dark Elf double as Anami would need to give up a thousand LP to attack using it. With 4 thousand atk points staring at him and no defense monster's the Thief lost to this direct attack by Anami. His planet monster "Supremacy Sun" was recovered and sent back to its rightful owner.

Aftermath: Instead of actually taking the time and focus to listen to this story it turns out that Asuka was resting her head on Kaiser's lap, he blushed a bit and left her their. Telling himself "i will not keep my promise to my friend, atticus didnt raise her well"

Chapter 13:

Judai gets invited to the Ra Yellow Dorm again, but Dr Banner tells him "i forbid you from going! you have alot of tests to complete, written exam's finish them! ive been too lenient on you... your getting D's and F's" a considerable amount of time passes in this endeavour, it is now mid-October the first quarter of the school year is almost over.

After a few days a ra yellow student comes to Judai's room and asks for Banners permission to duel him in Judai's room, seeing the progress of Judai the professor tells Judai "for every 10 test's you get seventy percent on i will allow you to duel twice" This motivates Judai.

Judai's duel (happens indoor's inside a room of the Osiris Dorm):

Turn 1 Judai draws and summons Elemental Hero Stratos.

Turn 2 nameless Student summon's cyber jar in facedown defence mode.

Turn 3 Judai uses Polymerzation to summon "Flame Wingman" he destroyed Cyber Jar but this caused all his monsters to die, still the ra yellow student lost LP equal to the cyber jar's atk points.

The duel continued offscreen and ended with Judai's victory.

At the obelisk dorm - Chazz was having a conference with his two friends (Raizou is no longer a friend so he's not present) "Hiroaki" and "Tayeou" the latter tells him "Daisy isn't coming today she's working on a project" Chazz looks at him with suspicion wondering if Daisy's having an affair.

Chazz ask's Hiroaki "did you keep your promise?" Hiroaki said "yes, all information on Bastion Misawa has been confirmed, the rumor about him dueling 3 student's at once and still winning is true" "so is his professional GPA record at grade school, he was a perfectionist able to get straight A's with  ease"

Chazz says "he will be my new target, it is embarassing for a Blue Student like me to duel a Red one, im only targetting Yellows and other Blue's" Tayeou interrupt's him "no it makes more sense to only duel a Obelisk Blue Student, not anyone else, we know youre not ready to face the kaiser, but dont lower yourself by fighting a damn Yellow"

Tayeou advises him "chazz if you want to make a name for yourself then fight the second best obelisk student" Chazz asks's "are u suggesting im not the second best... that im the third best in this dorm?" Tayeou says "everyones saying after Kaiser the best is Mitsuru, so he gets second place and you get third place cause youre better than all second year obelisk students"

Hiroaki attempts to manipulate the situation "i would agree with that too Chazz, not the ranking cause i think youre better than Mitsuru, but i agree that its better for you to duel Blue Student's, even right now only a few people think Judai is better than you and thats only cause he beat that Adult named Ryuga, but once you beat Kaiser who one shotted Judai i think no one will have doubts about your talent and skill, no one will compare you to that red student"

Chazz refuses to confront Kaiser, he knows that he is not ready so he will never do it. He tells them "i give up on the idea of fighting more yellows and reds but i want to do something about this Mitsuru fellow, hes the captain of the football and tennis teams..." "he also gets too much attention from the ladies... i dont want him to get to close to my crush Asuka..."

Professor interrupt's;

Mr.Cronos (dr crowler) knocks the door, he tells Hiroaki to come out, taking him he tells him "youre a second year, you have to be in class right now, you cant be friends with first years" grabbing Hiroaki he makes him leave the dorm for 1st year students in Obelisk Blue. He then has a conversation with Chazz Princeton infront of Tayeou.

Cronos said "listen to me carefully Chazz" "you have not had a test duel for two days, if you want to be the next king of duelists then you must do as i say" "first of all i dont want you to duel other blues, people of this Obelisk dorm have to stick together like glue... we can not fight eachother" "so you have two choices for your opponents"

Chazz said "Red or Yellow then?" Cronos told him "i prefer you get rid of the red dorm, always duel them to prevent any of them from passing a test duel so all red students would leave the academia" Chazz say's "then i am choosing Bastion Misawa as my opponent, no one else!"

Bastion's duel against Daisy;

rising action;

the reasons for this duel occuring are simple, as a Ra Yellow Student Bastion must win 2 duels per week, so he decides to duel against people ranked higher than him, one of them happens to be a Obelisk Blue Student, and Daisy wants to know how tough Chazz's other potential threat is so she challenged Bastion

Duel;

Turn 1 - Daisy summon's the Rock Spirit in atk position, and sets a card.

Turn 2 - Bastion summons "Pyromancer Anji" (ATK - 300) in facedown def position, since daisy's facedown card "Trap Hole" only works on monsters with above 1,000 Atk this card is secure.

Turn 3 - As Daisy drew a card Bastion flipped his Pyromancer into face up DEF mode, dealing 1500 effect damage to Daisy (300 per card in Bastion's hand), she then summons "Flying Penguin" which destroys the Pyromancer making room for the Rock Spirit to do a direct attack on Bastion's lifepoints. She ends her turn then.

LP Score (2,300) - Bastion (2,500) - Daisy's.

Turn 4 - Bastion drawed a card, he summon's "Fencing Fire Ferret" (atk - 1700) and activated 2 spell card's one is "Ookazi" the other is "Salamandra", Daisy lost 800 LP due to the card effect while Fencing Fire Ferret gained 700 atk points. It destroyed the rock spirit dealing 700 more damage to daisy. She's at her last 1,000 lifepoints. Ending his turn with one facedown Bastion tells her to give up.

Turn 5 - Daisy draw's a card, she activated a ritual card "End Of The World" & tributes her "Flying Penguin" with a monster in her hand to summon "Ruin, Queen Of Oblivion" knowing that Bastion  can spring his trap card Daisy activates "Heavy Storm" sending all spell's/trap card's to the GY that are on the field, this also gets rid of the equip card "Salamandra" putting the fire ferret back to 1,700 atk. Now Daisy attacks with Queen of Oblivion, dealing 600 damage to Bastion, she also tries activating the effect of her Queen which would let her attack again a second time, since Bastion has no monster's he is wide open, but smiling Bastion tells Daisy about his fencing ferret's effect, after its destroyed he can choose a monster to send to the GY and he selects her Ruin Queen of Oblivion, to make matters worse Daisy will lose 500 LP. Placing a card she end's her turn reluctantly.

LP Score (1,900) - Bastion (500) - Daisy.

Bastion win's by attacking her with his "Flame Tiger" though Bastion begun his turn by placing "Solemn judgement" facedown so when Daisy uses her set card he can counter it with Solemn judgement.

Seeing this Cronos's doubt about the skill of Obelisk blue students is confirmed. Hikokubo told Cronos "if a Osiris Red could equal Chazz then a Ra Yellow can easily defeat him"

Chapter 14 - Chazz's duel with Bastion. This begins two day's after the event's of the previous chapter.

Alot of people wanted to know who is the greater duelist between these two students. If Bastion wins he can be a obelisk if Chazz lose's he will be demoted to Ra Yellow. Once hearing about this even Judai wants to watch it, but unfortunately he is in a dilemma, if he goes to see the duel then he will be late for his next exam, if he does not see it then he wont have fun.

Chazz has a flashback;

A day earlier before the duel a female named "Mindy" tells Chazz "i loved you ever since that day..." "but i know you get angry when the truth is told about you.. that is youre not ready for this match... if a slifer red like judai could push you so far... then you can only imagine what this ra tellow Bastion will do..."

Chazz thinks to himself "shes right.... if i hadnt used ring of destruction then judai would have beaten me in that duel..." but not wanting to admit it out in the open he tells her "i dont need your advice"  Chazz began slapping Mindy after five slap's he pushed her away from the door of his room. Later on chazz is told the stakes of the duel. If he wins then Chazz gets to stay in obelisk blue, if he loses chazz is demoted to the rank of Ra Yellow.

Their duel finally happen's.

Turn 1 - Chazz summons "Neo The Magic Swordsman" in atk mode and sets one card. He already begin's bragging about himself. The card set is "Dust Tornado"

Turn 2 - Bastion draws a card, he places one face down and summon's "Solar Flare Dragon" in atk position. He end's his turn by placing one card, as a result of Flare Dragon's effect, Chazz lost 500 lifepoints.

Turn 3 - Chazz drew one card and tributed his "Neo The Magic Swordsman" for summoning "The Fiend Megacyber" (atk - 2200) he then used "Tribute of the doomed" discarding one card from his hand to send "Solar Flare Dragon" to the GY it works but after this when Chazz attempted a direct attack with a monster Bastion revealed his facedown card to be "Messenger Of Peace" which keeps monsters with 1500 or greater attack point's from engaging in a battle, though the user need's to give up 100 life point's for it to work. Chazz end's his turn with yet another facedown.

Turn 4 - Bastion summon's "a man with Ujat" in defence position and uses his effect to peek at one facedown card Chazz has one is "Dust Tornado" Bastion end's his turn by switching his monster into defence position and setting a card. He still has 3900 LP remaining.

Turn 5 - Chazz draw's (hold's two cards in his hand) summoned "Mekk Knight Avram" he then uses "call of the haunted" to revive "Neo The Magic Swordsman" then Chazz activated "Card Of Safe Return" to get three more card's in his hand, and as planned activates his 2nd facedown "dust tornado" so he can destroy & remove "Messenger of Peace" but it fails as Bastion had his very own "Dust Tornado" that he placed. Unable to attack this turn, Chazz declared "turn end"

Turn 6 - Bastion drew a card and activated "Change Of Heart" letting him gain control of Chazz's Mekk Knight Avram. He then used "Ookazi" to inflict 800 damage points on Chazz, whose Lp lowers down to 2,700. He revealed his facedown card "Double It" to double that effect damage against Chazz, who is now at 1900 LP, Bastion end's his turn by tributing his 2 monster card's in order to summon "Gogiga Gagagigo" everyone shouted "he tributed two fire types to summon a water attribute" this monster had 2,950 atk and 2,800 def points, its too strong so it cant be used for attack as long as Bastion's spell card is in play. Bastion ended his turn by paying another 100 LP (currently at 3800 lifepoints).

Turn 7 - Chazz draw's (holding 4 now) first using "Heavy Storm" to rid "Messenger of Peace" off the field he tributes Neo the Magic Swordsman to summon Trance The Magic Swordsman (atk 2,600) then equips him and Megacyber with "Magical Drizzle" it increases all atk point's of all monsters owned by Chazz (2,200 < 2,860) and (2,600 goes to 3,380), the crowd says "they just gained 30 percent of their original attack points!"

Next Chazz destroys "gogiga gagagigo" with Trance (3380 - 2950) Bastion loses 430 life points (currently at 3,370) then gets attacked directly by The Fiend Megacyber's feirce punch, lowering his life point score to just 510. Leaving himself with one card in his hand Chazz decide's not to place it facedown.

Turn 8 - Bastion draws then summon's "Raging Flame Sprite" in faceup ATK position it's effect allows him to attack Chazz directly but first Bastion revealed the 2 spell cards "Salamandra" and "Malevolent Nuzzler" (he placed them facedown previously) both together increased his monster's atk points by 1500 now at 1,600 he attacked Chazz who lost many life points now the remaining LP of Chazz is 300. Not done with his turn Bastion reveals the other effect of his monster it gain's 1 thousand atk after the direct attack is finished. So with 2,600 atk point's not many monsters can beat it, also Chazz can not take another direct hit. Bastion activated pot of greed (drawing twice) then set three card's facedown ending his turn.

Turn 9 - Chazz draws a card, he tell's Bastion "i'm smart enough not to attack or fall for your trap cards son!" he instead places two card's "Curse Of Hexagram" (trap) "Loss Of Strength" (spell) ending his own turn.

Turn 10 - Bastion drawed a card (holding one in his hand) he summoned it and ended his turn this new monster is placed in facedown DEF mode, but people assume if its the same monster (raging flame sprite) and bastion is just faking it with Chazz because Bastion said loudly to Chazz "this monster im summoning is a copy of flame spirit" Chazz doesnt know what to think, if its a lie or the bitter truth.

Turn 11 - Chazz has a dead draw as the card he drew is a Ritual monster, which can not be summoned if he does not have the required spell card, he passes his turn.

Turn 12 - Bastion again draws a card, he first equips "Raging Flame Sprite" with a 3rd spell "Card Gaurd" which prevent's a monster its attached to from being affected by a opposing player's spell and trap effect's. Activating the ability of Raging Flame Sprite he attacked Chazz directly, who lost more than one thousand life points, ending the duel their.

Facedown card's of Bastion (that were not revealed);

"Magic Cylinder"

"Relieve Monster" (target one monster on your field return it to your hand, then replace it with any level 4 or lower monster in your hand).

"Block Attack" (switch any monster to def position).

Aftermath (below).

The professors offer Bastion a place in Obelisk but he did not accept as he believed that he owes his dorm loyalty by presenting them as they lack strong duelists. Bastion say's "thank you but my loyalty lies with my dorm i will strengthen my fellow Ra Duelist's once they can prosper without me i will rise to Obelisk blue"

While Syrus on the other hand thinks "we thought Chazz, Mitsuru and Kaiser with Cronos were enough problems for our dorm... but now this Bastion... is yet another problem" and Hayato said "even Judai could not beat Chazz, at most he could match that guy... if this Bastion is this powerful than even Judai would lose to Bastion..."

Chapter 15 - 

As one more day pass's since that fateful duel between his peer's (Bastion and Chazz) Judai want's a chance at dueling Bastion who told him "no.. i wont duel you... their is nothing in it for me and everything in it for you, if i beat you no one will be impressed, if i lose to you it would be an embarassment to my whole dorm"

While at this point Chazz decided not to show up to any of his classes the next day from fear of being mocked, ridiculed, harassed and insulted for being forced to switch dorms and losing to a ra yellow student, fearing that he might have to face Bastion by taking the same classes he does, this mere thought shook Chazz up mentally. He even stopped eating.

All the obelisk blue students say "blue is the pride of elites! 75 % of the earth is blue water not brown land!"

Chazz thinks about his past, how in childhood he enjoyed gaming and never cheated, always played honorably, when he saw his friend putting a 2nd queen on the table of Chess while the other player was focusing on his own side then chazz called out his friend for being decietful. But was immediatelly scolded by a older sibling (1 sister who was eight yrs elder to him) she takes Chazz home, and tells him "you idiot! in competition everything is fair, it was more profitable to support your friends lie rather than insulting him for it! act smart in this world if you want to be a winner!"

Chazz remembers how all his sibling's (2 brothers 3 sisters) made their mind up to groom Chazz so he will be the best gamer in the world someday, as they saw what he was good at, his knack for games etc. The princeton family had a goal to make sure their family name is worthy to be a Illuminati bloodline. So they did not tolerate Chazz's failure, their parents were killed for failure.

But Chazz says "i play games for fun... not domination.... they challenge my mind in a different way unlike others who get into fist fights for fun..." he was then abused physically by all his family members, and once locked in a room for a week with very scarce food. Chazz then made up his mind to escape from his family's house.

However Chazz ran away from his families home, he formed this plan successfully by first creating three bank account's and forging the signature's of a few family members to use forms of wealth as Checks, he also convinced a very old woman (who was attracted to him) to allow him to live with her, she hid him in her house secretly. Later in life years after Chazz made a few friends and would stay at their houses.

As their searches for him failed Chazz's other family members think "we already made a mistake by letting this boy mingle around with normal citizens of the human race" "i think we should abandon him he cant be changed" The reason other Illuminati family's could not kill Chazz is because of his duel monster's spirit card "Demise King Of Armageddon" always shielding & protecting him.

At age 14, Chazz made his identity public and stopped hiding, he showed himself announcing his identity, and inherited the house that the old woman (who was attracted to him) owned, since she died he thought it was the right time. By that moment his bank accounts amassed enough wealth for him to live a comfortable life style.

Chazz snap's out of all his flashback's and comes to a conclusion/decision, that he can no longer stay in a place where he wont be seen with respect. "I'm 15 years old now! I dont need this."

Rather than stay with a dorm he believes is beneath him Chazz leaves the academia abandoning it completely, he knows he cant face anyone their with his head held high now... Especially when he boasted about being the guy that will dethrone Kaiser, Mitsuru, Cronos and all elite tier duelists of the academy etc.

And claimed that Bastion was weak infront of him while Judai is a nobody. Chazz realises his own weakness & knows that his friends will no longer respect him.. so Chazz gets on a cruise ship drunk, sailing away at night time. Judai run's across a hill with Hayato they both watch as Chazz got on that ship and the ship left..........

The next day;

Upset that her crush, and friend Chazz Princeton left the academy, Daisy swear's she will become the sworn enemy of the two duelists chazz could not best (Judai and Bastion), thinking Bastion to be too clever she decides to mess with Judai. Finding the Osiris Red Student sleeping in his bed, she switched his deck with another deck made of 40 card's.

In the morning people find many Elemental Hero Cards including "Big shield gardna" in the ocean near Duel Academy. A few ra yellow student's saw it. Daisy thought to herself if it would have been smarter of her to throw them in a trash can but she tried to not look suspicious, professor Hikokubo of the Ra dorm saw the security cameras it was stated besides Daisy only a dozen other students left the obelisk blue dorm, none went in the direction of the Osiris Red's.

Once confronted about it Daisy lied, so Anami Minowa fed her and the other students drug's that would force them to admit a truth they desperately wanted to hide, Daisy then admitted her crime and said she wanted to avenge the love of her life Chazz the only way was to make Judai lose his cards and all the fun in his duels.

Daisy got expelled from the academia and lost her license so she cant compete in any professional dueling match, she can only play the game at home for fun with friends and family. Anami personally kicked her out of the academy.

Judai had to jump in the ocean underwater to collect all his card's getting them back from the water.

Anami Minowa decided to help Judai in this both swam underwater, later on the Obelisk Blue Student named Asuka gave Judai a fan that dries up the card's trying to push all water off from these soaked cards. Hayato tell's Judai how luck he is that those cards were floating on water.

Chapter 16 -

Hearing of Bastion's refusal to duel Judai Dr Cronos asked Kaiser to help him destroy the Osiris dorm but kaiser said "i wont lower myself, i will not insult myself by having a goal of destroying weaklings" yeilding to the greatest student's admancy Doctor Cronos remembered the days when he earned a PHD in dueling, he made a promise to Seto Kaiba "as long as im their the Osiris Dorm will never climb to the top, that nightmare won't happen!" Chronos think's as long as Kaiser and Bastion exist their's no way Judai will be considered number one.

Chronos promises himself, a day will come where i will put Judai up against either of these two publicly, preferrably Bastion as hes a yellow, i will threaten Bastion as i can not threaten Kaiser, i will tell Bastion that if he does not duel Judai then he will be expelled for declining a duel matchup. But for now i will remain silent.

Day's later;

After class is done for the day at 4 PM, Judai, Syrus and other students are playing tennis, they want practice with a sport that is not frisby or baseball/softball this time. They just so happen to be in the same gymnasium/room that Mitsuru is in helping his tennis do daily conditioning.

An hour later Judai is still playing ball with student's while Mitsuru is done conditioning his teamates (spent 45 minutes excercising, 15 minute's freshening up/cleaning/showering), he didn't feel like leaving the gymnasium so he stayed especially since the three ladies caught his eye, those ladies happen to be Asuka, Mindy & Jasmine.

Hayato tossed a ball using his racket but the student it was aimed at dodged it instead of countering with a racket, as it was heading toward Asuka only Mitsuru intervened catching the ball in his hand and tossing it back to where it came from only for it to land on a Osiris Red Student's face (that accompanied Judai/Hayato). Mitsuru asked Asuka if she's alright.

Asuka said "i'm fine" then Jasmine who blushed over Mitsuru recalled what she heard from students month's ago a female told her "Mitsuru Ayanokouji is a 3rd year Obelisk Blue Student & head of Duel academia's tennis team as well as the heir to Ayanokōji Motors." she told Asuka "this guy's name is Mitsuru, hes not just the goal keeper of soccer ball players but he is even the captain for our tennis team"

Mindy say's "it doesnt matter, in duel academia card games take priority over sports" Asuka tells her friends to keep quiet btu Mitsuru keeps staring at her blushing over her attractive feature's, he recalled how he fell in love with Asuka Tenjion a long time ago when they saw each other at first sight before the entrance exam. But never ever asked her out or pursued her as at the moment he already had four girlfriends.

[Conflict arose]

Asuka's attention diverted to Judai once he asked her how she's been doing since that match? Once Mitsuru saw Judai with Asuka he decided that he can not allow such a beautiful obelisk female player to be with Judai who he considered a weak lazy slifer student at the time.

Mitsuru told Asuka that he desires to date her, much to the jealousy of Jasmine and Mindy. Asuka wondered if she should accept... she told herself that at one point she heard many teachers stating a year ago that Mitsuru's skill with the card game rivals kaiser's. He uses a unusual deck.

Mitsuru dueled Judai;

1sturn - Mitsuru drawed a card, and activated the spell "Drawber" allowing him to declare one card type (if it is on the top of Judai's deck then Judai must put every card in his hand back to the top of his deck) Mitsuru called that it is a trap card, he was right, so the effect worked. Then Mitsuru activated a second card called "Asurechikku Charenji Oshiageru" which puts Judai in a position where he must do eighteen clean push ups.

If he fails to complete this challenge within ten second's he gets hit with 1300 damage. Judai got to 12 in ten seconds, so he lost, already down to 2700 LP on the first turn, after that Mitsuru summons "Spike Ball Tennis" in defense mode, ending his turn. In the crowd Hayato claims that is a unfair play.

2nd turn - Judai drew a card, desperate for something (though he has two cards as one was the trap he got last turn) he summon's Elemental Hero Bubbleman in atk position, activating his effect of letting him draw twice so now he has three card's in his hand, Bubbleman engaged in battle with Spike Ball, destroying it but as a result Judai lost another 500 lifepoints due to a card effect. Judai then places two card's ending his turn, "Dust Tornado" & "Mirage of Nightmare".

3rd turn - Mitsuru set's one card, and activate's "Offerings to the Doomed" sending Bubbleman to the graveyard, but in exchange nexturn Mitsuru will not be able to draw a card. He equip's himself with the monster card "Ultimate Racket" since had three spell cards in his GY Mitsuru can deal 600 point's of effect damage to judai by smacking his chest with this racket, 200 per spell card in GY. He then end's his turn.

4th turn - Judai drawed one card, then places another facedown, he summoned "Elemental Hero Woodsman" in DEF position, then activates a spell card "Mirage Of Nightmare" that was set during his last turn now he can draw till he has four card's in his hand, after that Judai activated Woodsman's effect he can add 1 "Polymerzation" from the deck to his hand" (now Judai own's five cards) he merges Woodsman using Polymerzation with "E Hero Aveon" to create "E-Hero Great Tornado" (atk 2,800 def 2,200).

With 1600 LP left Judai know's how risky it is to attack, but chooses to activate "Emergency Provision's" instead opting to get rid of his Mirage card so he will not need to discard any thing in the future. gaining a thousand LP. Judai then order's a direct attack with Great Tornado. It fails as Mitsuru's facedown card was "Recieve Ace" it cost Judai 1500 LP while mitsuru remained untouched with 2 cards left in his hand Judai set's one and ended his turn.

5th turn - Mitsuru can not draw a card but by now the spectator's believed in the rumors, though hes not equal to Kaiser it appears Mitsuru is very close, not even Chazz and Mr Ryuga pushed Judai this far. The score is 4,000 to 1100. Mitsuru summon's his "wide Reciever" in def position, ending his turn automatically.

6th turn - Judai drew a card, then Mitsuru sprung the effect of "Wide reciever" at him that Judai can not use two of the cards in his hand for anything as long as this monster is on the field so Judai decided to destroy Wide Reciever by attacking it using Great Tornado, due to its DEF position Mitsuru took no damage, but now Judai can use the 2 card's he is holding. He activated "Poison of the old man" increasing his lifepoints by 1200, then summoned "E Hero Liquid Soldier" (1,400 atk) who can revive "Aveon" together they struck directly at Mitsuru lowering his LP by 2400. With nothing left to play Judai's turn immediately came to an end.

7th turn - Mitsuru drew one card. He summoned "Quarter Goalkeeper" in DEF mode, used its effect of halving his own LP to 800 so he can decrease the enemy's LP by 1725, now with his enemy at 575 LP Mitsuru ended his turn.

8th turn - Judai draws a card, then attacks the goalkeeper but everytime a monster tried that monster was sent back to Judai's hand, so Judai decided to save his last monster "Great Tornado" from the same fate. He revealed his face down card "Fusion Gaurd" now by removing 1 Fusion monster from his extra deck Judais LP will rise by its atk point's (575 + 2100 = 2675).

9th turn - Mitsuru activated "Smash Ace" which dealt Judai 1000 damage, then he used the effect of Goalkeeper to half his LP to 400 taking down 3/4ths of Judai's LP with him (2675 - 2,006) = 669 lifepoints left. His turn ended.

10th turn - Judai wins by using the card "Fissure" eliminating Goalkeeper making room for a direct attack.

Aftermath - Asuka compliments Mitsuru's good looks but tells him "you are no rival to the Kaiser and barely possess a fraction of his skill as a duelist" she also ignores Judai and walks away from the scene with her "friends" telling Mindy "my marriage cant be decided by a immature duel"

Hayato asks Judai how a talented guy like him got demoted from a Yellow to a Red? Judai says "I failed to answer questions in tests. Like what are the card effects of the trap "Last Turn"? What are the cards besides "the five pieces of Exodia" that have "instant win conditions"? Which spell cards best suit black magician? i also illegally beatup a obelisk chick"

CHAPTER 17:

Mitsuru's advised to primarily focus on his sports career instead of his card game career at the academia, this advice came from his peer's, friends, followers and girlfriend's & even teacher's. Mitsuru wondered what he should do regarding their advice.

Others reacted;

Once he heard of the fact Mitsuru was defeated recently by Judai then Bastion became worried... "if the legendary kaiser's only match was beaten by this slifer red... then how am i supposed to even rival him let alone defeat him?"

Bastion's friend tells him "Mitsuru was the captain of the Tennisball, Soccerball team's, playing both sports impressively he led the team to victory against West Academia last year."

Timeskip;

Duelists in duel academia finish their tests for halloween and early November, soon another month comes to an end as the quarter passes, a holiday called "Thanksgiving" is coming up. Hayato says he is thankful for the new card "Master Of Oz" he just bought.

During a recreational day Bastion leaves his calculations & experiment's aside, Judai made up his mind to have fun in a day with no duels. Syrus tried making a cake for Asuka but she disliked it.

Prior to thanksgiving and after octobers end Mitsuru is shown playing a game of soccer, as Duel Academia faces Central Academia in a game of soccer, the game becomes a draw largely due to Mitsuru's efforts.

A card named "black lion" was confiscated from Chazz's room after he disappeared, it is revealed to have been confiscated by "Ms. Anami" herself, she decided to give it back to Tooru but he believed he was unworthy of it.

Overall this chapter had nothing to do with dueling just plot progression.

But Mitsuru grew upset hearing of Asuka behaving in a friendly way towards 2 Osiris Student's (syrus and judai). Though Judai did think once of comparing Mitsuru to Kaiser, he recalled how Mitsuru dealt 7,631 point's of damage to him yet still lost.

Chapter 18 - As the day of December 2nd arrives Dr Chronos makes up his mind that it is time to stop taking it easy on these people. He arranged a meeting with Bastion telling him "you have a week to prepare that's all, but during December 9th i want you to duel Judai and win, i ask nothing else from you besides that you do it in the public stadium where a hundred students will watch him lose"... Bastion ask's "if i refuse?" Chronos told him "then you will never be promoted to obelisk blue or recieve recognition as a card game player"

Bastion tells him "you dont have the power to decide that" Understanding the situation Chronos makes a offer "if you win then i will reccomend you to the professionals, you will get my personal support, you will become a pro in the same league as the legendary Howard X Miller & maybe a rival to Kaiser" Bastion accept's shaking hands but tells Chronos "make sure Judai does not have prior knowledge of this duel, he shouldnt find out before december 8th".

Fate of Chazz's last friend (Tayeou):

Anami Minowa takes it upon herself to eliminate the rest of the trash from duel academia, she confronts Tayeou who tells her "chazz thought if he has 2 male friends and 1 girlfriend then he'll also be duel king like yugi mutou... but he was clearly wrong..." "to be king you need to surpass yourself first!" "i no longer follow his beliefs or rebellious ways... please let me be... allow me to stay in this community, i want to graduate from the academia!" Anami tells him "if you beat me then you can remain" "if its a stalemate you get demoted but still stay" "if you lose then youre out!"

After winning (offscreened). Anami tells him "Duels are 99 percent skill based, but 1 percent are won by Luck." Tayeou leaves the academia too. Now the last sign's and marks of Chazz ever being in that academia are gone, his friends and memories are no longer at the academia on "Dec 6th".

Syrus remembering the 1st time he saw Anami Minowa:

Syrus asks who that is (as he has a secret crush/attraction to the female that is walking), to which Hayato answer's "that is Anami Minowa the leader of DAS" Judai ask's "what is DAS? and why do they wear green cloth's?" Hayato says "i dont know even though im sure Syrus should have known since his brother goes here too and is older than him, but the most i know is that DAS stand's for Discplinary Action Squad" Judai asks Syrus "why are you not as knowledgable on the whose who of the academy if your brother is Obelisk Blues kaiser?" Syrus says "i was only ever interested in playing the game not in knowing who the best duelist or player is or whats the name of every staff member on duel academia" wanting to leave the area as he feels uncomfortable Syrus goes back to his dorm.

Dr Banner take's action.

Banner tell's Chronos "i want you to stop targetting my dorm" enough is enough, stop acting like a manchild" Chronos says "this was all to lure you into my trap, to bait you, now you must duel me, if you win i will never make proposals to get your dorm banned, if i win you must quit your job" Both of them decide their duel would be in the stadium.

Spectator's arrived; kaiser when asked told asuka "i'm only here because its very rare for two professors to duel eachother, i wanna make sure i have a good view to see my 2 teachers go at it" Hayato says to Syrus "i came cause i never watched Banner duel before, this's a perfect chance" Judai tell's Bastion "i came to know whether Cronos Sensei's really a decent duelist or just a big talker, people always said that he's a legendary player, i never believed it though"

Bastion says "im here to see his legendary monster card" Jasmine tell's Mindy that Mitsuru is not coming to watch.

Turn 1 - Chronos drew a card and activated "Ancient Gear Castle" a field spell, each time either player summon's a monster the Castle will get a counter, he summoned "Antique Gear Soldier" it gained 300 atk points due to the castle, setting one card Chronos ended his turn.

Turn 2 - Banner draw's a card, he first activates "Dian Keto The Cure Master" to gain 1 thousand LP then places one card in the spell/trap zone, destroying it with "Emergency Provisions" increasing his LP further to 6 thousand. Banner next placed a card and ended his turn. Much to the astonishment of everyone that he refused to play a monster.

Turn 3 - Chronos draw's a card, he tributed the Antique Gear Soldier & Antique gear castle (the spell card is counted as a tribute due to the counter factor) summoning out "Antique Gear Golem" (atk 3,000 def 3,000) this's when Banner sprung his trap card "Side Effects" he explained to the crowd that now Chronos is allowed to draw anywhere from from 1 to 3 cards but Banner will get a 2 thousand LP boost for each card drawn, to make it more interesting Chronos drew 2 cards but not 3.

Now Banner is at 10 thousand LP, though with no more facedown cards or monster's Banner got attacked by Ancient Gear Golem, he lost 3 thousand lifepoints, but is still ahead of Chronos in terms of life. Chronos with five card's in his hand chooses on not setting any other facedown card as he still has the "Spirit Barrier" trap that he placed on his first turn but hasnt needed to use yet.

Turn 4 - Banner drew one card (increasing his hand total to 4) he then activated "Ancient Rules" letting him summon one monster that has no effect's but is normal and hold's a level of 5 or higher, he choose "Labyrinth Wall" then he activate's "Coins From Heaven" letting him draw till his hand reaches six, same applies to Chronos. His next move is to summon "Earthbound Spirit" but just as he did with the wall, he put this card in attack mode.

Banner also activated "Shield & Sword" switching atk/def of all faceup monster cards, so Labyrinth Wall gets at 3 thousand points, still Antique Gear Golem also had 3 thousand (it's def & atk are same), banner tells him "you only got to draw one card since your hand was already at five, i got to draw five cards since my hand was at one, anyone can tell who profited the most out of this".

Banner first had Antique Gear Golem & Labyrinth Wall destroy eachother, then he attacked Chronos directly with "Earthbound Spirit" (2,000 atk points) but Chronos revealed his facedown "Spirit Barrier" which negated any damage to him. Banner set one card, ending his own turn.

In the subbed version of the anime Ancient Gear monsters are called Antique Gear Monster's so Antique will be the same as Ancient here.

Chapter 19 Ending of their long duel.

LP of Banner (7,000) LP of Chronos (4,000).

Turn 5 - Chronos drawed a card, he had se7en in his hand now, placing two card's he then activated "Heavy Storm" blowing away all spell's/trap's, which triggered the effect of his 2 trap cards, summoning 1 token per each of them, he tributes those 2 token's so he can summon "Antique Gear Golem" he reveals to all students, duelists & spectators "i have 3 copies of that legendary monster in my deck no one can beat me!"

He then used "Spirit Illusion" a spell card that copies another faceup monster on his field side, he attacks with this token, dealing 2500 points of damage to Banner and ridding the field of his "Earthbound Spirit" (it was in atk mode), now the coast is clear for another direct attack. Chronos got Banner down to just 1500 lifepoints. The crowd praises him saying "this's the true difference between a Osiris and a Obelisk" Chronos declares turn end.

Turn 6 - Banner drawed a card, holding four cards he activated "level limit area B" which switched antique gear golem to def position, then he used a second spell card "Shield Crush" to destroy any defence mode monster, since the original is gone whichever token the illusion spell card created vanished.

Next Banner placed 2 cards "pride shout" & "card of demise" then activated the latter to draw till he has five cards. Then he summoned "soul tiger" and attacked directly with it, revealing his facedown trap (pride shout) banner dealt damage equal to his own monsters DEF point's, subtracting 2100 LP from Chronos, ending his turn with two more reverse cards (leaving 2 in his hand).

Reverse cards:

"Devil Dice" and "torrential tribute"

Turn 7 - Drawing Chronos activates "Monster Reborn" then uses "Rush Recklessly" now his revived Antique Gear Golem has 3700 atk points. Since he only has one card left in his hand he doesn't place it facedown, but now Banner revealed "torrential Tribute" which destroys all monster's on the field. Since this was used before Crowler's battle phase his Antique Gear Golem couldn't negate it.

Chronos then normal summon's "Antique Gear Wyvern" and uses it's effect to add any antique gear card from his deck back to the hand. He realise's now his hand is lesser than Banners and his field is weaker than banner's But maybe since Banner isn't an offencive player Crowler could be safe and secure for a limited amount of time.

Turn 8 - Banner draws a card (hand contained 3 now), he activates "Magical Stone Excavation" letting him discard two cards in his hand to add a card from his GY back to his hand, he uses that spell "card of sanctity" now again the two duelists draw from their deck relentlessly. Banner activated Tribute Burial allowing him to summon "Millenium Shield" then using "Kaleidoscope" he summoned the 2 other copies of it resting in his deck, his hand still has three cards left. Leaving his monsters in DEF position he ended his turn.

Turn 9 - Crowler has seven cards in his hand now he activates "Antique Gear Double Imitation" ressurecting his Ancient Gear Golems (2 monster's each with 3 thousand atk & def), tributing his "Antique Gear Wyvern" (Atk - 1,700 Def - 1,200) he summon's "Antique Gear Gadjiltron Chimera" (atk 2,300 def 1,300) it has no effects due to being summoned by a non gadget tribute.

He next activates "Gaia Power" a new field spell which increases atk of all earth monsters by 500, banners millenium shield happens to be earth so it also gets a boost but its in DEF position. Now each of the Golems have 3500 atk the Chimera has 2800. When the 1st golem attacked Banner activated "devil dice" Golem can not negate this as it cant use its effects, devil dice decreased his power to 1 thousand.

Chronos saves himself by using the quickplay magicard "Trap booster" discarding a card to use a trap in his hand "Solemn Wishes" then activating "pot of greed" to draw a card gaining 500 LP before he loses 2 thousand LP.

Chrono's lifepoints; (1900 + 500 = 2400 - 2,000 = 400). Since the DEF monster won the battle no monster dies but chronos ends his turn with a facedown (having 1 card left in his hand).

Turn 10 - Banner drawed a card. He first uses a spell card "ancient rule's" then made use of another "shield and sword" revealing how he had copies of them in his deck, he summoned "Metal Gaurdian" (atk 1500 def 2,800) since this was a special summon Banner can still normal summon "Prickle Fairy" in atk position.

Now he destroyed the chimera with Metal Gaurdian dealing 1,500 damage (2800 minus 1,300) then took out millenium shield and 1 antique gear golem together. Chronos also had a copy of a trap card named "spirit barrier" so he took no battle damage this turn. Having no card in his hand Banner declared turn end.

Turn 11 - Chronos drawed, knowing this is his golden moment since the effect of shield and sword ended he attacked the atk position monsters of Banner and finished him off, Banner lost all his life points people in the corwd praised Crowler for beating a duelist who at one point in their match had life as high as 10 thousand LP.

Aftermath - Since Chronos won Banner is made to leave the academia as he took the oath. People at the slifer academy wonder whats gonna happen to them.

Hikokubo tells Bastion "The duel proved which dorm is superior."

This proves to the principal that the Red Slifer dorm is worthy of being beneath the blue Obelisk dorm.

Some students try to say since Banner was Japanese he disgraced all japanese citizens by losing to an italian duelist (Chronos hails from Italy).

A decision is made;

The head of discplinary squad Anami Minowa is asked to fill in the role of Banner as dormatory chief of Slifer/Osiris student's. Her answer to this request is yet to be revealed or known.

Chapter 20

A few days later.

Announcements are made that the winner of this duel will be the representative of all first year students in duel academia, as both participants of this duel (despite belonging to non blue dorms) are superior to all first year obelisk's. Judai meet's this new challenge with enthusiasm. Bastion however is confident of a win.

Hayato says to Syrus "i don't like that look of confidence on Bastion's face it says that hes improved meaning he's even stronger than he was against chazz..."

After shaking eachothers hands judai and bastion say "may the best win"

Bastion duels Judai:

Turn 1 - Judai draw's one card, he summon's "E Hero Ocean" in DEF position, and declares turn end with one set card.

Turn 2 - Bastion drew a card saying "watch & learn from the real duelist" he summoned "Lady Assailant of Flames" in facedown DEF position, then set two card's ending his turn.

Turn 3 - Judai drawed a card and said "i expected more XD" he tried to summon another monster but before that could happen Bastion flipped "Lady Assailant Of Flames" faceup using it's effect to remove the top three card's of his deck and deal 800 damage to Judai. Judai then activated polymerzation to merge Ocean with "Versago The Destroyer" in his hand to form "E Hero Absolute Zero".

Bastion activated his trap card at this moment "Rivalry of Warlords" to make sure only 1 "type" of a monster can be used by both players in this duel he declares pyro the only usable type unfortunately this's when Judai's trap card (Dust Tornado) cancelled Bastion's trap he then attacks with Absolute Zero, no damage is dealt to Bastion, though he lost a monster card. Judai's turn is over.

Turn 4 - Bastion draws a card, he summoned "Tribe Infecting Virus" by discarding a card (Water Dragon) the effect of his new monster can destroy all warrior type monster's. Immediately sending absolute Zero to the GY. Bastion then activated "Monster Reborn" to revive his Water Dragon. Now with two monster's on his field (2800 atk of Water Dragon 1600 atk of Tribe Infecting Virus) he launched a direct attack on Judai.

But a facedown card was revealed to be "Desert of sunlight" which swapped modes of all monsters on the field to defence. So Judai never got attacked his LP remained safe (still down to 3200 while Bastion has all 4 thousand). Setting one card he declared turn end.

Turn 5 - Judai draw's a card (has four in his hand now), he summon's E Hero Woodsman in DEF position, then used its effect to add another "Polymerzation" from his deck to the hand, merging Woodsman with Aveon in his hand (this would ensure their are two cards in his hand) but this was the moment Bastion revealed his facedown card "Magic Drain".

Since Judai had no spell cards in his hand to discard so he can negate the effect of this trap (beside Polymerzation) now he can not use the spell card he was intending on, so Aveon remains in his hand. He ended his turn with one facedown card. (three card's left in his hand.)

Turn 6 - Bastion drawed a card (has two in hand) understanding that judging by his calculation's he is losing momentum to Judai he activated "pot of greed" which let him draw two more cards (he has three in hand now), then he used the effect of his monster (T.I.V.) discarding a card to destroy all monsters on the field of one particular type this time he selected the "warrior" type which "Woodsman" belonged too. Wide open Judai gets attacked directly by Tribe Infecting Virus. Losing half his life points with just 1600 LP judai knew he could lose the duel here.

Bastion tells Judai "though im pleased with my win im also very dissapointed that you couldnt calculate this duel well!" Bastion attacks directly with "Water Dragon" but Judai activated "Morass Of Morality" (which cut 1 monster's atk in half) now he loses 1400 instead of 2800 lifepoint's. Still with just 200 remaining Judai's in a weak postion. Bastion ended his turn without facedown cards.

Turn 7 - Judai draws (his hand contained four card's) he got E Hero "Stratos" in his hand. Judai activates "Fissure" to send the biggest threat to him "Water Dragon" back to the GY, but first he had to use the effect of "Stratos" to remove 1 trap card (Magic Drain) now with Water Dragon also gone Judai makes a new move using Polymerzation to merge Stratos with Aveon.

The monster fusion summoned is "E Hero Great Tornado" he used its special effect to halve the points of Tribe Infecting Virus to 800 then attacked it dealing 2,000 damage, after that he attack's directly with Stratos. Now that Bastion is down to 200 life points Judai end's his turn (he has nothing left in his hand), everyone cheer's for Judai but they also praise Bastion and think this is a intense duel.

Turn 8 - Bastion drawed a card (increasing his hand total to 3 again). Bastion summoned one monster called "Raging Flame Sprite" it attacks Judai directly making him lose 100 lifepoints, Bastion then placed two cards, ending his turn ("block attack" & "drop off").

Turn 9 - Judai drawed one card which is when Bastion activated his "drop off" trap but this is when Judai used Stratos's effect, to destroy one trap or spell for each E Hero on the field, so now Drop off is gone and Judai will not have to discard the only card he drew. He uses the card he drew "Nobleman Of Extermination" which removes the other facedown Bastion has on his field.

Now Judai declared an attack destroying Bastion's "Flame Sprite" dealing him 700 damage (as it gained a thousand atk after the direct attack). Bastion lost the duel just 100 lifepoints short.

Aftermath;

Judai says that which will become his famous catchphrase "gotcha!"

The spectator crowd reacts in a wierd way.. they accuse the duelists of being fluke's and scripting the match as it seem's impossible for a lightweight like Judai (who failed to beat Chazz who Bastion defeated) to win a duel against Bastion. But they all get silenced by Kaiser (zane).

Kaiser say's both of them regardless of their colors are impressive duelist's that deserve respect. A student named "Takadera" reacts to this and announces "if even the kaisers heart changes after seeing this duel then we should stop making accusations" Bastion and Judai shook eachother's hands after the duel was over they bid eachother farewell.

Chapter 21.

So exams, and tests happen during the last week till December 18th. After this everyone goes away or at least most of the students do, they leave for winter break. But a few people like custodians, workaholics, students who had to catch up did not get the luxury of a vacation or break.

Within the last week of the winter break (a 16 day break) a mysterious man came named "Taira Taizan" he was spotted countless times.

To resume her load of work and prevent any robberies "Anami Minowa" came back to academia in 9 days, by the 12th day kaiser himself also came back as he honestly likes life better at his school than at home. He found that Judai Yuki was already their and wanted a rematch but kaiser again turn's him down.

Then on the 13th day a mysterious event occured. Mitsuru a athlete if the academia was told that food storages had been robbed, so Mitsuru took it upon himself to chase this thief who was described as a long haired man without clothes.

Kaiser tells Mitsuru "i want to be apart of this, theirs nothing more interesting" Mitsuru tells him "dont ask me, youre the only person i consider superior to myself" they both go on together. Eventually Judai's spirit Big Shield Gardna informs him about a dangerous tough duelist lurking in the woods. At night time Judai goes on a journey.

By now Mitsuru and Kaiser despite their experience and talent got lost in the forest of the academia, they ended up near the sandy desert/beach across the ocean, they dont want to go back as they are thirsty for finding the food stealer. When Mitsuru spots someone coming at him he asks him "who are you!?"

Taizan responded to them saying "like a baby is born after nine months so have i been reborn as the duel king after 9 months of training" Kaiser tell's mitsuru "his voice sounds familiar but his looks do not..." Mitsuru asks "are you that scared of me that youre only option was to hide? we were so close to you... but you always ran like a rat!"

Taizan saw Judai appear before them and he asked Mitsuru to calm down, Judai told them his name "Taira Taizan" Judai also said that Anami Minowa informed him about Taizan "he was attracted to Anami when he was a student so he told her his name last night when she chased him in this direction 25 hours ago!"

Anami informs Judai about him;

Taizan used to be a Obelisk Blue Student who dissapeared in the middle of March this year, he was at a huge risk of getting demoted to Ra Yellow, unable to bear that pain it is believed he left to prevent living life as a Ra Yellow but now many recent sightings of him have appeared, its believed he's been lurking in the forest of the academia, trying to live life as a animal or has gone mentally mad. His hair grew longer than it ever was before, he wears pants but no upper garment's. Only reveals himself at rare occasion's.

Meeting Kaiser for the firstime in 9 month's;

COMING BACK TO THE RESENT Taira Taizan say's "He goes by many names, fubuki, atticus, king etc... i used to always lose to him, then recently i heard that king atticus dissapeared just a month after i left the academy... how dissapointing... but even better that you the Kaiser are still here! safe, sound! stronger than ever! the only duelist above Fubuking! by defeating you i will claim the title and be the academia's greatest duelist!"

Kaiser tells mitsuru "ballmaster im taking this one so stand back"

Kaiser vs Taira Taizan:

Turn 1 - Kaiser draws, he tells himself (no cyber dragon... i wonder if my next draws will be bad too) he summons "Cyber Esper" in ATK mode, letting him see each card in Taizan's hand once Taizan Taira draws. Setting two card's Kaiser ended his turn.

Turn 2 - Taira Taizan draw's a card, and show's it to kaiser as a part of the effect of Esper, continuing with his turn Taira summoned "Twin-Headed Behemoth" then Taizan activated the spell "Inferno Reckless Summon" letting him special summon two copies of the Behemoth resting in his deck, not through with his turn he activates "Trap Booster" allowing him to discard 1 card, then activate a trap card from his hand (though under normal circumstance's he would be obligated to place the trap facedown first before activating it).

He used "Ultimate Offering" but first must activate "Coins From The Heaven" giving him six new cards as his hand ran out, yet Kaiser gets to see each of them. Taira next paid 500 LP to tribute 1 Behemoth for summoning "Flame Cerbrus" then he tributed the other 2 Behemoths for summoning "The Champion Megacyber" with his hand down to 4 cards, and lifepoints down to 3 thousand.

Taira attacked Cyber Esper with "Flame Cerbrus" which triggered the facedown card of Kaiser called "Desert of Sunlight" switching Esper's mode to DEF position, preventing battle damage. Taira uses "Nobleman Of Extermination" to remove from play the other set card of Kaiser. Then attacked him directly with Champion Megacyber, decreasing his lifepoint's by 2550 surprising everyone that a duelist like Kaiser could be on the recieving end.

Turn 3 - Kaiser drawed "Cyber Dragon" and special summoned it. Kaiser then normal summons "Armored Cybern" he activates "Limiter Removal" which lets him double Cyber Dragon's ATK at cost of it being destroyed by the end of this turn (after its battle is over) he also equipped it with "Ar,pred Cybern" raising its atk strength further (from 4,200 to now 5,200 point's). The effect of armored cybern allows Kaiser to destroy 1 card as many times as he wants to on his enemy's field by tributing 1,000 ATK from the monster equipped with it.

Kaiser try's to destroy two cards on Taizan's field (the monster's) but he failed as Cyber Dragon's ATK went down to 0 points due to "The Champion Megacyber" having a effect that decreases 1 monster's atk point's to zero ATK. In a futile attempt Kaiser unequipped armored cybern to his cyber dragon, and choose to keep the cybern in DEF position (it has zero atk points and should stay as a wall monster in case of dragon failing, so wyvern will be immune to limiter removals negative affect).

Now Cyber Dragon is back to double its original atk strength (4200), but "Gilfers Demon" got sent to the GY formerly when Taizan discarded a card (for Trap Booster) it is equipped onto 1 monster kaiser owns. So now Cyber Dragons at 3,700 instead of being at 4200, kaiser placed a card in his trap/spell zone.

Understanding the champion can only use his effect once per turn Kaiser attacked "Champion Megacyber" with that Cyber Dragon, dealing 1200 damage to Taira Taizan. Lastly with three card's in his hand (cause Coins From Heaven let both player's draw) the great Kaiser ended his turn. Due to it being a End Phase after the battle Cyber Dragon was sent to the card Cemetary (a result of "Limiter Removal"s power).

Turn 4 - Taizan drew a card (4 in his hand) he summon's "Dancing Fairy" (Atk - 1,700 Def - 1,000) in DEF position on ur field increase your and his LP increased by 1 thousand. People remark how he has almost double the LP that Kaiser owns. Taizan then equipped "Mask of the Accursed" wrapping 1 mask onto Armored Cybern slowly squeezing the life out of him decreasing Kaiser's LP even more, by 500 to be exact.

Since Armored Cybern was the only monster on Kaisers field, Taizan could attack him directly, he ordered "Flame Cerbrus" to do a direct attack but Kaiser activated his facedown reverse card "Defense Draw" a trap which reduced his battle damage to zero and let him draw a card. Taizan placed one card and declared turn end.

Turn 5 - Kaiser draw's another card (holding in his hand 5) he first activated "Cyclone" ridding "mask of the accursed" off his field, then he send's "Cyber Thuban" from his hand to the GY allowing him to add the two "Cyber Dragon" monster cards in his deck to the hand, he then activated "Polymerzation" fusing the 2 dragons to form "Cyber Twin Dragon" he attacked twice, first destroying the defence monster, and then destroying Cerebrus, dealing 700 damage to Taizan.

Which is when he activates the trap card "Ojama Trio" special summoning three ojama tokens on the field of Kaiser in DEF mode each. Kaiser wondered what Taizan is planning, he ends his turn with two reverse cards leaving nothing in his hand. Kaiser with just 950 lifepoint's remaining was extremely nervous, he had never been so hardpressed in a matchup.

Turn 6 - Taizan first drawed a card (holding two in his hand) he activated "Soul Charge" letting him pay a fifteen hundred lifepoints to special summon three monsters from his gay, none of them can attack, but he tributed them to normal summon "The Wicked Dreadroot" then attacking with that monster he destroyed one ojama token (Taizan predicted that Kaiser would only spring reverse card's if his cyber twin dragon was threatened), when one token is destroyed then Kaiser loses 300 LP. Without anything else Taizan had no choice but to end his turn.

Turn 7 - Kaiser drawed one card, he activated his facedown "Jar Of Greed" letting him draw one more card, now a second time his hand contain's a total of 2 card's in it. He attacks Dreadroot with Cyber Twin Dragon (whose atk dropped from 2800 to 1400) before it can be destroyed by dreadroot is time when Kaiser revealed his last facedown card "de fusion" letting him diffuse the monster to summon the two original cyber dragon's.

Kaiser's next ploy is to utilize "Monster Reborn" to bring back his "Armored Cybern" then equipped it onto a cyber dragon at his field, decreasing the Cyber Dragon's atk points by a thousand he activated the destruction effect sending Wicked Dreadroot to the card grave.

With Taizan's field being completely empty he was in danger of geting a direct attack, after striking his opponent with a Cyber Dragon Kaiser won the duel. Taizan gives up knowing how futile the situation is.

Aftermath:

Mitsuru hopes what happens to Taizan is bad "anything but that... i dont want him to be a athlete and outshine me... if he comes into sports he will surely surpass me!"

Taizan curses himself, and begins beating his chest, trying to punch his own heart and abdomen & neck really hard calling himself "pathetic" "useless" "miserable" saying his near year long training was wasted, he think's "maybe i should have went for 12 months instead...!"

Judai says "No you were amazing out their. That man who you lost too... i could not last more than 1 turn against him... you lasted many turns against him. Yet even though i get praised as being the best or second best i failed to do what you did. And everyone here Taizan including the Kaiser himself thinks highly of you today, what matters is the performance not the verdict. I don't know whatever you were before but i do know your hard work paid off. You are definitely the second best duelist, and deserve your place at the Obelisk Dorm, i would like to become better by dueling you and making you my goal."

Even Kaiser admits that he was scared of losing during their duel.

Encouraged by these words Taira gain's some confidence and accepts his place at the academia but tell's the officials and authorities "i wont be cutting my hair, i will don new clothes though" by the time winter break ends Taizan officially enrolled as a 2nd year Ra Yellow Student (he was a 2nd year obelisk when he left).
